Getting Your Own Warriors Tickets

The Golden State Warriors are a professional basketball team based in Oakland, California. The team is more often than not, just referred to as the Warriors, and was first established in 1946 as the Philadelphia Warriors in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. The franchise won the inaugural season of the Basketball Association of America, which would later on become the National Basketball association or the NBA. It was only in 1962 when the franchise was relocated to San Francisco. Their name changed to the San Francisco Warriors until 1971, when it finally became the Golden State Warriors. Despite their many name changes, the team's fan base continually purchases Warriors tickets. A Warrior ticket still stands for their team, no matter what the team is named!

The Golden State Warriors are responsible for some of American basketball's finest moments, winning the championship for a total of 3 times. Fans who had bought Warrior tickets in the inaugural championship of 1946 to 1947 were treated to a championship. Those who luckily bought Warrior tickets in the championship of 1955 to 1956 and that of 1974 to 1975 were fortunate to have a victorious team. In fact, the Golden State Warriors' record currently stands at 5th in the NBA number of championships.

The first year the Golden State Warriors were founded, they were owned by Peter Tyrell, who was also owned the Philadelphia Rockets, the hockey team of the state. Peter Tyrell was responsible for hiring Eddie Gottlieb, a long time promoter, not to sell Warrior tickets, but to serve as the team's coach and general manager. Under the guidance of Eddie Gottlieb and basketball sensation Joe Fulks the team claimed the championship, defeating the Chicago Stags.

During the 1955 to '56 season, the Warriors climbed their way to the top by defeating the Fort Wayne Pistons. Part of the team then now belong to the basketball Hall of Fame namely Paul Arizin, Michael Bryson and Neil Johnston. It was in 1959 that the team managed to acquire amazing basketball player, Wilt Chamberlain, whose records and style of play revolutionized basketball forever. At one time, Chamberlain amazingly made 100 points against the New York Knicks, making that game and those Warrior tickets one of the most prized in basketball history.

After these amazing championships, the Golden State Warriors experienced seasons of struggle and difficulty, causing them to lose their place among NBA's top teams. Today, the team is in the process of rebuilding, strengthening their coaching staff, and their current members. With much work and dedication, we will hopefully see the Warriors back in the top again!
